17 Oct Hanging Bats and Hissing Cats and Scary Coffins, Oh My!

Here in North Texas we recently had our first cool (not cold) snap of the fall.

The dip in temperatures was brief – only lasting for a couple of days – but we recognized it as a harbinger of the holiday season soon to arrive.

The first one in the pipeline is Halloween, which comes up in a couple of weeks.

Halloween isn’t as popular as Thanksgiving or Christmas.

One funny aphorism we came across while writing this post was this one:

There are two kinds of people in this world: those who love Halloween, and adults.

We don’t happen to agree about adults not loving Halloween.

That said, how much you enjoy it is a function of many factors, including whether you still enjoy dressing up in costumes or have small children to take trick-or-treating in your neighborhood.
