Like most social networking sites, user accounts on Egowall are totally free.

New users are provided with 600 Ego Points, the currency of Egowall. These points may be used to purchase homes, containers, furniture, games and other virtual goods within the game.

Additional Ego Points can be acquired in two main ways – through various actions on the website and in the game, or by purchasing them directly.

Among the actions in Egowall which will result in the award of Ego Points are the following:

• Uploading a picture into a container
• Setting your profile photo
• Sending a connection request to an Egowall member
• Sending a connection request to a non-member
• Accepting a connection request
• Reading a Sticky Note
• Reading a Mail Message from a connection
• Visiting one of your own homes
• Visiting a connection’s home
• Publishing the changes to a room
• Uploading a photo into the Snapshots container

To purchase additional currency, users click on the Ego Points tab and select the Buy Ego Points link, where the can select the number of points to be bought and pay for them with a credit card.

The cost of Ego Points has been established as follows:

• 1000 Ego Points – US $9.99
• 2500 Ego Points – US $20.00
• 5000 Ego Points – US $35.00

If at any time a user attempts to buy a virtual good in Egowall and doesn’t have enough available Ego Points to complete the purchase, they will automatically be presented with the Buy Ego Points interface.
